Walking from the West, Plaza de La Paz gradually slopes upwards to the pedestal of the cathedral. As with any wedge shaped space, two compelling routes diverge from the space, challenging walkers with having to pick a path.

Yet the elegantly sloped and curved street to the North may win out in most of minds of the new traveler.
